As the aging population expands the need for seniors’ housing, the marketplace is increasing its diversity. G works with seniors living clients to help differentiate their brand, incorporate lessons learned from other sectors, and work to achieve capital and operational savings. We are working with the seniors’ housing sector to bring transitional and contemporary design to the next generation of seniors’ communities.
Our experience includes C and the more complex B3 occupancies (for assisted living and care environments). In addition, our firm’s expertise in Mental Health design supports the increasing demand for memory care environments in the seniors’ sector.
G has experience with non-profit and for-profit operators, designing greenfield communities that include Independent Living, Independent Supportive living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Palliative Care environments.
For Long-term care projects, we bring our experience navigating the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care’s approval process, the Home Renewal Construction Funding Subsidy program, and the complexity of designing facilities that are increasingly required to be healthcare environments.
G has unique experience in long-term care Alternate Finance and Procurement projects. Our consulting expertise includes assisting clients with feasibility studies for redevelopment projects, including test-fits a home on a new or existing site, and coordinating cost consultants in the development of the business case.
