Matt is the Co-Founder and Partner of G architects, and a seasoned architect with over twenty years of experience leading complex institutional projects with construction budgets of up to $100 million. His expertise lies in designing for aging populations, with a strong and sustained focus on long-term care.

At G architects, Matt has recently led the design and development of 1,344 long-term care beds through Ontario’s enhanced funding program. His approach is rooted in empathy, inclusion, and a deep understanding of the day-to-day realities of residents, staff, and families. Throughout each project, he champions the question: “Could I live here?”—a guiding principle that ensures every design decision enhances comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Matt brings a uniquely national perspective to his work. With projects delivered in five Canadian provinces, including Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, and Alberta, he draws on diverse regulatory environments and care philosophies to bring fresh, proven ideas to each new context. His work reflects a commitment to design excellence grounded in operational practicality, stakeholder engagement, and the evolving needs of long-term care providers. Matt continues to shape the sector through his leadership, insight, and dedication to creating care environments that are not only functional but truly feel like home.
