Maxville — Maxville Manor, a not-for-profit long-term care facility in Ontario, has announced a major $65 million redevelopment project aimed at enhancing its capacity to serve the community's seniors. With the redesign led by G architects, this ambitious project aims to significantly enhance long-term care services in the region through thoughtful, resident-centred design and staff-supportive solutions.

The redeveloped Maxville Manor will feature state-of-the-art amenities, advanced heating, ventilation, and infection prevention systems, and modern design elements for improved functionality and accessibility. Technological upgrades, enhanced parking, and outdoor facilities will further enhance the resident experience. Upon completion, the revamped facility will accommodate 160 individuals, an increase of 38 from its current capacity. Maxville Manor serves a critical need in the community, drawing residents from across Eastern Ontario, where more than 40,000 seniors await long-term care. The project vision emphasizes not only functional excellence but also a holistic approach to resident well-being and community integration. The redesigned facility will offer a comprehensive range of long-term care services, prioritizing safety, security, and community involvement. Construction is scheduled to commence in November 2024.

Maxville Manor, established in 1968, underwent its last major redevelopment in 1994. The current project will unfold in four phases, involving the reversal of main entrances, addition of new rooms, and replacement of aging wings to meet current Ministry of Long-Term Care standards.

The transformation of Maxville Manor marks a significant milestone in addressing the demand for high-quality long-term care services in Maxville. By combining state-of-the-art design principles, dedicated healthcare professionals, and a strong focus on community engagement, this project promises to elevate the quality of life for elderly residents and contribute positively to the growth and development of the local community.
