Mississauga — Construction has officially commenced on the Ivan Franko Long-Term Care Home project. Set to be a pivotal addition to the community, this facility will offer an enhanced care experience, encompassing 75 new beds along with the modernization of 85 existing beds.

Anticipated to open its doors to residents in the winter of 2025, this innovative home will redefine the standards of care, introducing progressive design elements. Notably, the new building will boast significant enhancements, featuring expanded resident common areas and comprehensive air conditioning throughout the premises.

A core aspect of the design revolves around resident home areas, strategically crafted to create intimate and comforting living spaces accommodating up to 32 residents. These areas will be thoughtfully equipped with dining spaces, engaging activity areas, inviting lounges, and comfortable bedrooms, prioritizing the residents' well-being and comfort.
