Northern College Timmins Satellite Campus

In 2023, G, was engaged in the unique accelerated schedule design project for Northern College’s 1,313 square meter Downtown Satellite Campus. This project included the full demolition and transformation of a previous call centre into a college campus that included 4 – 40 student classrooms complete with both free standing and fixed custom millwork. The project also integrated Timmins employment agency, Employment Options as a separate secured service.

Phased approvals and construction required coordinated consultation and approval with the municipality and Authorities having Jurisdiction for onsite and off-site improvements. This included working with the municipal planners, the College Board of Directors, and local authorities in addressing zoning change of use and phased Building Permit concerns. We employed a collaborative approach while working closely with the municipality to support the project and construction schedule. The project schedule was extended due to Client requested program changes and was completed within their $2 million budget.
